Here are a few excerpts from a never-finished-meant=to-be entry into a webzine's collection of "absinthe" stories. It was originally meant to be a sort of Bonnie and Clyde as American absinthe smugglers type o' thing but you wouldn't know it from these particular fragments.

Oscar Van Paul: the German
Dr. Henri-Louis Vincent: from Orleans City
Mari Swiss: a connoisseur from the Portugal Republic

Dr. Henri-Louis Vincent, from Orleans City, places a cube in a slot-spoon, toxic green over sugar, pungent licorice absinthum in water. It’s his herbal opiate, milky colored and quite wormwood.
“This will exterminate my infestations!” he proclaims in a language of his own devising. To his fellow imbibers at the table, it does not look like the good Doctor is speaking at all. It looks to them as if Henri-Louis is having wet, smacking convulsions at the mouth.

Poison Spain: a manufacturer of drinking accessories.

Bleue Belle: a brand of absinthe.

Wilde Crescent: the bar in which the characters convene.
