It's blurry and glaring but here's a photo of my latest hobby completed, "Queen Of The Blind".

Firstly, a piece I finished in October --
"Ghostie"

And here's my newest, finished mere days ago --
"Strange Silhouettes"

As you can see, my printer is not large enough to get all the picture in.  Still, these are fairly close approximations of the originals.

Here are the 4 designs I used for the New Years cards I distributed last night at Ground Control.

1.Creepy Baby New Year (original went to a private collection in Burbank, which is a fancy way of saying I gave it to a friend.)

2.Mysterious Baby New Year (original belongs to a private collection in the Greater Los Angelus(sic) area)

3.Dragon Baby New Year (original to be given to a private collection in Long Beach, California)

4.Psychedelic New Year Baby (given to private collection in Hollywood area)

Thank you, Nick Nessler, for the oil pastels and postcard stock.  They were both put to use in the making of these unformed symbols of our uncertain future.

Also, I still have the stencil that was clearly utilized in these babies so there's bound to be more later!

Tonight [info]darqleo and I had our second meeting/ first practice as TimeBandits. It went well. We have one song more or less frameworked and a chorus written for another.

Thank you [info]rachelly for the spaghetti and meat(less)ball dinner.

The only down side was my eyeballs scrunching up on me because of a mild pet allergy but their dog is too damn sweet not to pet, dammit!

Funny stuff.

So, my mom and dad are moving soon. Mom sent me a big box full of "pre-Christmas goodies", that included art I did since I was a wee boy, toys I never owned, old report cards, my little brothers artwork (!), photos of myself and sis and few things I need to send back as I'm sure they weren't meant to come my way...in other words, they're cleaning house. I did recieve several amusing, if only to me, items of miscellanea, including this pencil and brushed ink on watercolor from around `89 or so. But I'm not goth. ;)

mostly colored pencil and markers with a dark acrylic background and correction pen "squiggles".

The whole piece would not fit my scanner. These are the two halves, with a bit in the middle that refused to get scanned.

Behind the cut are poorly executed photographs of my newest completed artwork, a poster-size version of Melting Fetish in which the character depicted has aged somewhat. Acrylic on posterboard.

Done as a gift for a friend of a friend who was having a rough time and liked cats, whom I've ever seen once or twice since our introduction.

A little under standard paper size but it fits in the frame with a little creative matteing.

Silver Sharpie, WhiteOut pen, and red marker on black stationary paper.

Bat's Day Doodle

Unfortunately, the thing I DON'T like about this quick sketch I did last weekend is the the flaming, grinning head, which happens to be the center of focus. Ah, well...I'll use my blood drips as border thing again, that's for sure.

I will be helping [info]darkviolet9 at her table during the Bat's Day Black Market this weekend upcoming.

I am busy preparing several postcard size prints of some of my artwork to sell/give away with purchase of a DarkViolet Creation, which may or may not be matted, depending on time and budget.

So there.
